Despite several injuries from the previous matches we had a team of 14 ready to take on Gloucester City 3s in Belle’s last game before Oz!

Well they came out hard and fast, making a beeline for our goal but we managed to keep them out. Once we had sorted out our marking and got our heads in, we also had some early opportunities including a one on one with the keeper by Belle that just went wide. We had some shorts, they had some shorts, we had some breaks and they had some breaks.. all very even play but Gloucester City managed to sneak one in just before half time.

We went out wanting it in the second half, although Gloucester scored an early goal (which was a beaut straight strike to bottom corner tbf), we kept our heads up and kept pushing forward. We were in their D and had some shorts but just couldn’t get the shots on target. That was until Belle got her goal which honestly felt like a minute of Belle v the goalie on the ground but it eventually crossed the line! Big celebrations! Despite a lot of effort and good teamwork, we couldn’t equalise and the final score was 2-1.
