It was a bleak November Saturday with a bite in the air. Facing the top of the league, we knew we had a big fight on our hands.
We started strong, holding our ground and preventing any early goals. However, our resistance was broken later in the half, with a second goal coming just before the whistle— Damn it!

During the halftime talk, Jen rallied the team.. we had to work on winning the ball during our free hits from the 16 and clarification was needed on what was meant by ‘breaking them up’ - including a live demo.

The second half was a bit more spicy with three goals conceded in quick succession and rumours of their player having glue on her stick. Cat successfully tried out our new tactic by galloping around their players to stun and confuse them.

Two more goals and the BBBs took the win with the final score at 7-0. But in true 3rds fashion we battled to the bitter end, never giving up and smiling all the way!
